Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall is still not happy with his contract and according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, has told head coach Josh McDaniels that he still wants to be traded. Marshall wants to get paid like all productive receivers do. He is due to make around $450,000 this season.
Marshall would be an outstanding fit with the Jets. He would instantly become their number one receiver and would create a dominant duo with Jerricho Cotchery.
The ball is in the inquirer’s court. Josh McDaniels already looks bad with the whole Jay Cutler situation (which was handled poorly by all sides). If the Broncos don’t want another headache then maybe they trade Marshall for whatever they can get. Nothing crazy. The Jets should inquire about Marshall and see if a second or third round pick can get Marshall to New York. I’d even give up a first round pick hoping that the addition of Marshall to the Jets will make that first round pick a very late pick.
