Staten Island Yankees 2009 NY-Penn League Champions

The Staten Island Yankees have won their fifth NY-Penn League title beating the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in the best of three series. The top six batters in Staten Island’s lineup provided all their hits and offense as they beat the Scrappers 5-2. Centerfielder Zoilo Almonte led the Yankees with three hits and three RBI including a two-run double in the eight inning.
