The Yankees aren’t sure when their first playoff game will be or who they will be playing but they do know the right way to end the regular season. A-Rod hit two home runs, a three-run home run and a grand slam, in the sixth inning to lead the Yankees over the Rays 10-2 in their regular season finale. A-Rod and the Yankees took care of business scoring all 10 of their runs in the sixth inning with A-Rod driving in seven of them. A-Rod’s seven RBI in an inning is an AL record.
A-Rod looked forward saying, “We have one goal and it’s to win 11 games,” referring to the amount of wins it will take to win the World Series.
