The Knicks ended a three-game skid to start the season with a 117-111 win over the Hornets. New York put up 40 points in the fourth quarter after scoring just 19 points in the third. David Lee led the Knicks with 28 points and eight rebounds.
The Knicks actually looked like the better team on the floor. They controlled the game and the score for most of the night. Mike D’Antoni’s starting lineup played well together, although Danilo Gallinari didn’t shoot too well (2-9 for 9 points). Al Harrington added 24 points off the bench.
Nate Robinson missed the game and will most likely miss around two weeks of action with a sprained right ankle which he suffered in the Knicks’ loss to Philadelphia on Halloween.
