Rex Ryan’s “Thank You” Cards

Before Rex Ryan addressed the media Monday afternoon, he sent me into his office to fetch a statement he jotted down about the win over the Bengals. As I fumbled through some papers on his desk searching for the statement, I found a stack of “Thank You” cards with Rex’s handwriting on them. Here are what the cards said:

Some of the cards even had little messages attached. Here is what those messages said:

Thank You Everyone who told me we can still make the playoffs
I thought it was all over after the Falcons game but obviously I was dead wrong. I was so demoralized after the loss that my head wasn’t on straight. Thank you for making it clear to me that we still had a chance.

Thank You Jim Caldwell and the Colts
Jim I just want to say thank you for sitting Peyton and the rest of the guys in the second half. I also want to thank you for beating the Jags in week 15, that was a big help. Take care and good luck in the playoffs. 
p.s. If you could sit Peyton and the guys again when we meet in the playoffs I’d really appreciate it.

Thank you Players, Coaches and Staff
It doesn’t matter who they strut out there, you beat the Colts and the Bengals and should be proud. We didn’t lay down when we were 4-6 and we didn’t lay down after the Falcons game. Let’s get ready for these playoffs and beat Cincy again this week!

Thank You Jets Fans
Guys, we couldn’t have done it without ya. You believed in us when nobody else did. You guys were there for us the entire season even after we went through some rough patches. You answered the bell. You were loud when I asked you to be and you rocked Giants Stadium one last time in our win over the Bengals. Thanks for being the 12th man on the field on Sundays.
