Knicks Playoff Chances

The Knicks are currently 19-35, good for 12th place in the Eastern Conference, with 28 games left in the season.

To get to a .500% winning percentage, which would put them at 41-41 and give them a chance at the 8th and final playoff spot, they’ll need to win 22 out of their final 28 games. That’s a record of 22-6 and a winning percentage of 78.5%. In this case, if the Knicks current roster can pull off such a phenomenal feat, they wouldn’t need to sign any superstars this summer!

A 78.5% winning percentage over the span of an entire season equates to a 63-19 or 64-18 record. Three teams in the entire NBA won 60 or more games last season. 

I’m more interested in seeing how Tracy McGrady and Sergio Rogriguez play. I’d like to see Toney Douglas play more often. I also want to see the Knicks run more now that they have a shorter lineup. 

Playoffs? No. Auditions and improvement? Yes.
