Knicks complete trade for Carmelo Anthony


Sources from several media outlets and first reported by the Denver Post are reporting the Knicks and Nuggets have completed a trade that sends Carmelo Anthony to New York.

The trade, according to the Denver Post report, is as follows:

Denver gets Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors’ 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors’ 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash.

The Knicks get Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman.

Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated tweeted the Timberwolves get Anthony Randolph, Eddy Curry and $3 million in cash from the Knicks.

ESPN’s Chris Broussard tweeted the Knicks get Corey Brewer from the Timberwolves.

Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports tweeted Leon Rose, Carmelo’s agent, confirms the trade.
