About

Empire Sports Now is a New York sports blog covering lower New York sports, including the Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Knicks, St. Johns, Rutgers, Belmont Stakes, and other New York sports and sporting events. Empire Sports Now’s goal is to bring unbiased coverage and opinion on New York sports.

Here’s what you won’t find at Empire Sports Now:
- Gossip. For example: Who Derek Jeter is dating. Go to the gossip magazines at the front of the checkout line for that.
- Pictures of half naked girls. If you come to a sports blog for that, you’re not here for the sports.
- Steroids talk. Some players have confessed to doing them, others still deny use. There are enough media outlets and blogs out there that discuss steroids.
- Brett Favre retirement chatter. Self-explanatory.
