Halstead Property, a residential real estate brokerage firm in New York, pledges to help LeBron find a home in New York City and also help in his philanthropic deeds if he chooses to sign with New York. 

The real estate firm has created a website called Every King Needs A Castle and teamed up with former Knick John Starks to make a pitch for LeBron in the following video:

Tonight the Lakers won their second consecutive NBA championship. Kobe Bryant won his fifth overall. Blah blah blah. None of that actually matters.

What does matter is now Ron Artest is a world champion. We showed you what Artest did after hitting a crazy game-winning shot to put the Lakers up three games to two in the Western Conference Finals.

And up above is Artest’s post game interview after winning his first title. He did not disappoint. The first thing he shouts out, of course, is his hood. While it’s not quite forcing his interviewer to say Queensbridge, like last time, this one is still pretty fantastic. Plus, he thanks his psychiatrist, plugs his new single coming out and then hugs the interviewer.

Congratulations, Ron Artest. You’ve made New York proud.

The new Avis commercial on YES Network (which I couldn’t find on YouTube because it’s so new) reminded me of some of the Yankee commercials of the past.

This is what we’re up against, Knicks fans.

The Knicks celebrated the 40th anniversary of their 1969-70 championship team led by Willis Reed and Walt Frasier.

Here’s a tidbit of what took place at the luncheon. In the video, from left to right, is Cazzie Russell, Walt Frasier, Willis Reed and Dick Barnett.

The guys also signed a ball for everyone in attendance. I won two invitations to the luncheon through ESPN radio.

I was at the Garden Saturday night to see the debuts of Tracy McGrady, Eddie House and Sergio Rodriguez. The Knicks lost to the Thunder 121-118 in overtime, but the newbies didn’t disappoint. In this video you’ll see the crowds’ reaction to Tracy McGrady being announced in the Knicks starting lineup, the crowds’ reaction to him getting the ball for the first time as a Knick in their first possession, and there are some good shots and passes sprinkled in after that.

I usually don’t show these kind of videos or get involved in these types of things, but people need to see this video of a Jet fan getting arrested in Qualcomm Stadium during the Jets vs. Chargers divisional playoff game. Take a look:

There seems to be a break in the video between when the fan is cheering “Jets” and when the arrest begins. It is uncertain whether he did anything during that gap that was unrecorded (about the 13 second mark of the video), but other fans around the scene, including Charger fans, kept saying he did nothing wrong and were sticking up for him. I just wish the guy didn’t resist it and the police would have just asked if they could speak to him upstairs to cool the guy off, but we don’t know exactly what happened so it’s hard to speculate.

I’m hoping the police had a reason, other than him being a New York Jets fan, to arrest him. Too bad the camera wasn’t on the entire time. The cameraman was probably taping the Jet fan cheering, had enough footage because the guy probably was cheering for a while, and turned it back on once the arrest began. It’s sad to see this and it happens more often then we are led to believe.
